Easy to install the gas pedal, brake pedal is a bit harder to install but well worth the effort.
Finished look is a good upgrade. Quality of pedal kit is good.

These covers add a nice touch. like everyone else has expressed, the brake pedal cover is a bear to put on. I had to modify it a little but to get it to fit on.
Consbrake pedal is to stiff. No need for such stiff rubber. make it more pliable.

A Nice Addition
Definitely a must have item. Recommend to place the brake pedal in boiling water to soften the rubber. Makes installation much easier.

Good quality, it looks great
Great quality, I fits perfect, like everyone here brake pad is hard to install, boil it for 15min it's a must

Good Quality, great looking
Looks great and makes pedals more noticeable. Takes some work to get the brake pedal on, but coating the inside edges with dish washing liquid and using a small screw driver, it is doable.
ConsInstallation is somewhat challenging.

Great addition. As others have said, install was tough; had to boil the brake cover and file down the tabs on the gas pedal but still only took 10-15 minutes. Very rewarding when you get it!

Should have listened to the other reviews.
One of the worst purchases I've made in my lifetime. The quality is there, the fitment or lack there of is an absolute joke. The gas pedal wouldn't even snap on and the brake pedal? Forget about. Complete waste of money. It's too bad because it would definitely enhance the looks of the interior. Read other reviews elsewhere as well. Why I took the chance I have no idea.

Love them! The look so much better than plain black. Hard to get on though! Had to have my BF do it.

Classy look for my Jeep cherokee
ProsEasy to install gas
ConsLike everyone else said, it's hard to install the brake. I had to use a hair dryer to get the rubber nice and hot so I could stretch it and use the screw driver to help get the edges.

Simple mod for the interior...
Decided to add these even though the reviews said the brake pedal was a PITA. Actually for me it went very smoothly. I didn't even use hot water. I just used a small flat head screwdriver to get it fit. A little frustrating at first but once I got it started I just kept just going around the pedal. The accelerator was easy-just snap on and done.
Prossimple mod to improve interior looks sporty feel and look

Aesthetically Pleasing and Functional too!
Great accessory for my Laredo X, One of the first things I added when I bought this 5 truck years ago, I still smile when I look down and see them. Once installed you forget about the difficulty in installing the brake pedal. At least you know it wont slip off and become a hazard.
ProsGreat traction, Very stylish, and the nubs make it easy to clean if you bring some mud into the truck.
ConsYes installing the brake pedal is a little difficult but not impossible. I just wished there was a matching pedal cover for the parking brake.

Great product, but a btch to install.
Kit was very nice looking and very functional, but as others have said, it is pointless in trying to install yourself, take it to a dealer.
ProsGood looking, functional.
ConsNear impossible to install with the very minimal instructions included.

I read the reviews on these and even though we own a couple of vintage sports cars had never thought that I would want something like this. I read the reviews regarding the installation and noted the difficulty with the brake pedal. I did heat them up but used a heat lamp as that is what I had handy and it really made the installation easier. Living in the cold midwest it was 40 degrees in the garage, so just a few minutes of heating both pedals made a world of difference. Also, I found that placing a mirror behind the pedals so that you could see what was going on without having to lay on your back simplified the installation too. A small spring hook tool, that could be used to work on the brake pedal worked well too. I also put some silicone spray on the brake pedal to aid with slipping it on much like a tire shop does when installing tire on metal rims. You only want to put a small amount on the inside otherwise it will be difficult to handle. The install didn't take long at all.
ProsYou can see the pedals at night if looking at the floor, since the originals are black, these stand out nicely. I thought that they would get dirty quickly or show grime from the salt and snow and so far they still look like the day I installed them. The original pedals would get sand stuck in the grooves, these don't have grooves for that to happen.

Both of these items look great!!! The gas pedal went on with ease. The brake pedal took over an hour and was the battle of a life time. You will need a screw driver and need to soak the item in boiling (i mean boiling on the stove) hot water. Once you let it soak for a while, carefully take it and try and stretch it on. The screw driver will be the wedge to help work it on. The key is to get all 4 corners on, then wedge the rest of it on. Good luck!

DON'T GIVE UP
The end result is worth "THE PAIN OF THE BRAKE". Just remember DON'T GIVE UP.
ProsQuality, adds a sweet look to the cockpit.
ConsPutting on the brake.

As documented, break pedal very hard to stretch. Key is to soak for 10 min in boiling water. After installed they look great! And quality feel.

Great looking addition
They complete my Grand Cherokee's interior look. Good Quality and straight forward installation. Just like it's mentioned in other reviews, the brake side is harder to install. I recommend reading the reviews here and learning from them. I used hot water to soften the rubber for about 5 mins, then stretching the cover's back side while it's warm. I also applied a thin film of grease to the pedal. Then flipped the top rubber side of the pad inside-out and pressed it against the bottom of the pedal. While keeping pressure, I slid the pad upwards ensuring the sides were engaging. Once it reached the top the pedal just snapped into place and it only needed some persuasion on the corners. The grease helped a great deal.
ProsLooks and quality
ConsBrake side is somewhat difficult to instal, but once in, you know it's not going anywhere.

Brake pedal walkthrough
Ok the dreaded brake pedal, first boil some water, add the boiling water to a dish with the brake pedal and some dish soap in it. Leave it for 3-5 minutes, you want enough water that the pedal is submerged, I did mine metal side down. You need to cut 2 vertical slits at the end of the horizontal slit they provided, this makes the top part function as a flap and is a tad easier to go over the top with. I read so many review that said do the bottom first, I couldn't get it to work that way. So with a big face mirror on the floorboard so I could see what I was doing, and a flashlight pointed at it, I attached the top first, because the rubber has been softened by the boiling water it made it easier to pull the sides out, I attached the bottom left corner first. Then starting back at the top right corner I worked my way down and attached that side and bottom right corner, then all that was left was the horizontal section between the 2 bottom corners. Using a fat but small flathead screwdriver I worked the flap until it popped out and was on snug. The rubber on the bottom looks a little stretched from the backside but there's no way that thing is going anywhere.

Great look once installed, but a painful install
This is my second Jeep Grand Cherokee I've installed these on. Both equally as painful. The gas pedal clip-on installs easily. The brake cover is very difficult. Both times I had to make little slits in the corners to get it to fit on the brake pedal. Even then, my fingers were raw after finally getting it stretched over the pedal. Had to use a variety of tools to get it on. Trial and error. Get ready to belt out some swear words with this one...

Looks great…brake pedal is a bitch!
I rubbed lotion all around the edges of the brake pedal after trying unsuccessfully for 20 minutes; that was the key.
April 15, 2014
everyone else was right - the gas pedal was relatively easy (even though one of the clips broke as I was installing it). I contacted J4J and got an immediate response saying it should be just fine but if I ever had any issues they would exchange it for me. The brake pedal was ridiculous - ended up taking it to my dealership and they put it on for me.
Proslooks awesome on

Durable and problem free for three years now
I installed these on my 2010 and have not had one problem with them. As stated before, the brake pedal took some extra work, but both have stayed in place ever since. I am going to put them on my new Overland.
ProsGreat looking and functional (non slip). Durable
ConsBrake pedal tough to put on, but if it was easy to install, it might come off in use.
